categories :

Ever since Pakistan’s film industry has revived somewhat to regain its old days of boom, Pakistani people are loyally rooting for the local films. Independence day is not a typical release date for films unlike the two days, however, this year the trend seems to change as the  local   cinemas are booked with the rally of local films. This independence day, four Pakistani movies are hitting the big screens them to storm the box office figures.

All of these films are unique in their own right and stirring the movie buffers a big time. Take a look at the movies hitting cinema on 14th august and make your pick according to your taste, however, will recommend seeing all of them because of their unique looks.

    Dekh Magar Pyar Say:

This movie has a stellar cast of Humaima Malick, Sikander Rizvi, Irfan Khoosat and many more.  This is a high budget rom-com having its background in Lahore.  This astral rom-com has already teased the audience with its quirky dialogues, costumes and catchy music accompanied with heavy promotions across the country.

2.   Moor:

Moor is truly a one of a kind movie. Being embellished by power pack performers in it like Hameed Sheikh, Samia Mumtaz, Shaz Khan, Nayyar Ejaz, Ayaz Samoo and Abdul Qadir. Being embedded in the backdrop of Baluchistan, this film highlights the serious issue of corruption in the Baluchistan Railway system, the family ties and the difficulties of an ill-fated family trying to survive in the system. But the directors have intelligently played with the beautiful locations of Baluchistan. Moreover, the music of the film is breathtakingly haunting yet beautiful. You can never miss this movie, I repeat, never miss this.

3.  Shah:

having an assembled cast of  Adnan Sarwar, Kiran Chaudhry, Sardar Baloch, Adeel Raees and Gulab Chandio this movie is set to rule the hearts of the audience. It’s an unusual film because creating biographies is not a usual trend in Pakistan’s film industry. This film is based on the life of legendary Pakistani boxer and an Olympic medalist- Syed Hussain Shah. A stellar trailer has grasped the attention of cinema-goers, hopes it turned out to be a historic box office hit as well.

4. Maalik:

Dhuaan famed AashirAzeem is coming back to business by presenting an enthralling movie. Other in the cast includes Farhan Ali Agha, Sajid Hassan, Hassan Niazi, Sabreen Baloch, Rashid Farooqi, Marriam Ansari, Adnan Shah and Tatmain ul Qalb. Keeping up with the touch of patriotism, this movie is expected to score high on Independence Day. This movie deals with the sensitive topic of corruption in the society. Hope this movie can tribute in the progress of Pakistan’s film industry.

Besides the release of traditional Pakistani movies, there is a re-release of 1998’s Jinnah. On independence day, even better.

So which movie have you picked for a treat this holiday?
